with my current budget and current income, i expect to have the bare minimum of $9,000 saved up by july 2015 and she expects around the same. my friend and i are planning to split the rent and bills fifty-fifty and we're both saving up ahead.
i'm only 19 so while moving out is a very exciting idea it's dreadfully intimidating, considering the expenses in the city and plus the fact i don't want to get into any sketchy situations. i'm not going to postsecondary, frankly, i'm too dumb for it and high school is where i failed many expectations and tried to start fresh multiple times to no avail. currently, i'm working full time at a mere dollar above minimum wage, clocking in around forty hours a week. and we've been planning on it for a couple years now so we're very set on it.Īnyhow, the reason i'm posting this thread is because i want some outside input on it and to hear other people's experiences. a lot of it is for personal reasons so i won't get into that except say that staying home and saving up the smart way isn't really an option for either of us, especially my friend. Hi city-data, i'm planning to move out with a good friend next year in july.
